Helping make the voice of New York City's five-boro business community heard in 2013 and beyond
Who We Are
New York City is at a crossroads. For only the second time in history, New Yorkers will replace every citywide elected official and most of the City Council in November. New York City made its last such changeover in the weeks after September 11, 2001—a time when many feared the City’s greatest days were behind it. Back then, few people predicted the growth of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem here with small businesses, new start-ups, and generations-old companies providing more jobs for New Yorkers than ever before in New York City’s history.
We are New York City’s job creators—its small business owners and entrepreneurs. We cannot afford to stand idly by and hope that the city’s next generation of elected officials will understand what we need to survive and thrive in New York. We come from a wide variety of fields and have a broad spectrum of needs. What unites us is a common desire to have our voices heard over the din of debate in New York City in 2013.
GoBizNYC is comprised of small businesses, startups, chambers of commerce, industry associations, and civic and community groups collectively representing over 20,000 enterprises—more than one out of every ten small businesses across New York City. See more
